The Dog Days

This weekend WE WENT TO THE 7'S !!! Lol jokes we actually didn't get tickets so rather than sit at home in London and mope my flatmate and I decided to head out to her house in Surrey for the weekend... WARNING THIS BLOG POST CONTAINS DOGS. If you are a cat lover, look away now. This post might make you vomit.

We arrived home on Friday night and headed straight for the kitchen - there's nothing quite like your parents fridge, especially when we are currently living out of a mini-fridge containing half a tin of chickpeas and some suspicious looking cheese...

But were being watched...

...By a little Scottie hoping we might drop something her way! (Sorry Otty not this time)

Two very full tummies and one glorious episode of Masterchef later it was time for an evening swim... yup, swim!

Look at the size of that bath!

Mermaid or Sea Monster? (It's a close call)

After one of the best night's sleep I've had in a while, Chesca and I filled our Saturday with lazy meals, long dog walks and afternoon naps - heavenly!

I was fortunate enough to have an extremely sexy safari guide to show me the route

Look at that gorgeous little Scot - isn't she pretty?

Even with a twig stuck in her lady-beard!

Everything was so gloriously green and lush - spring is fully here and I can smell the arrival of summer in the air

A pretty heinous sock/shoe combo going on here. Thank goodness this isn't a fashion blog...

Finally home and it was bath-time for a very muddy little dachshund which I'm not convinced she enjoyed as much as I did the night before...

Then it was nap time, and these dogs take that pretty seriously...

By about 6pm we decided it was probably time to interact with some humans again and headed off to a house party. But first, a quick game of frustration over a couple of drinks (as you do)

We arrived at the party and within seconds I had seen the man of my dreams. He was tall and hunky with deep blue eyes... It was love at first sight...

Sadly he was of the canine variety and stank to high heaven, poor guy! So much for my attempt to socialise with my own species.

As always, I start having fun and the camera gets a bit neglected but I'm pretty sure you can all imagine what a house party looks like without me describing it to you. Think red cups, beer pong and a fair few headaches the next day...
